Formula UFSC is the SAE formula team from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in Florianópolis. Every year since 2011, the team designs and builds a high-performance racing car to compete in Formula SAE Brazil against other universities in the country.
The Formula SAE Brazil competition takes place every year in the fourth quarter. It consists of dynamic tests, which assess the car, and engineering tests, which assess the undergraduates’ knowledge. Every year more than 1,000 students from around 50 universities come to put their knowledge and skills to the test.
